Waste-to-Energy

At KALTANI, we go beyond recycling—we harness the untapped potential of non-recyclable waste to generate clean energy and build a more resilient future. Through our Waste-to-Energy (WtE) systems and upcoming engineered sanitary landfill, we convert residual waste into reliable power while safeguarding the planet.

What We Convert:

  • Non-recyclable plastics
  • Contaminated paper and multilayered packaging
  • Residual organic matter
  • Refuse-Derived Fuel (RDF)

How It Works:

  1. Pre-Treatment – Waste is sorted, shredded, and dried for optimal combustion or pyrolysis.
  2. Thermal Conversion – Using high-efficiency systems, waste is converted into heat, electricity, or pyrolysis oil.
  3. Power Generation – The energy powers local industries or is fed into the grid.
  4. Emission Control – Advanced filters and scrubbers reduce harmful emissions, protecting communities and climate.
  5. Engineered Sanitary Landfill – Built to global standards with:
    • Liners to prevent soil contamination
    • Leachate collection to manage toxic runoff
    • Gas capture systems to extract and utilize methane
